Thom C's Grad Fest

  • Crescendo Studios 8101 a U.S. 29 Falls Church, VA, 22042 United States (map)

A Graduation Festival for H-B Woodlawn student Thomas Coutcher. Tickets are 10$ (outside of eventbrites tax), and 100% of collected funds will go directly to the music department. Join us for the 4 talented acts of:

Coutcherculture — A keys and drums duo that put a jazzy twist to classic rock tunes.

Soda Pop — Soda Pop is a garage/classic rock band based in the D.C. metro area, with a style derived from the sounds of Led Zeppelin, Jimi Hendrix, and The Strokes. Formed at H-B Woodlawn Secondary School in August 2023, they started playing covers at Woodlawn’s events before moving on to playing around the Arlington area.

Tapioca — Funk, Disco and Reggie encompass the sounds of this 3-piece project. Wearing its Funkadelic grooves on its sleeve, it pays homage to the classic sound while still keeping the rhythms fresh. They'll be playing all the tricky beats and angular riffs with their debut album front to back at this show.

Jackie and The Treehorns — Rooted in the basic tenets of alternative psych/rock, Jackie and The Treehorns create music from just outside the nation’s capital in Alexandria, VA and just outside the mainstream. Formed in 2009 and fronted by Steven Rubin under the guise of an altered ego (Jackie) and his band (The Treehorns) the group fight to keep the flames of the rock and/or roll fire lit with inspired original inventiveness. The band has been described as creating full-throttle music with a fluidity of sounds atop a smooth veneer that is wildly interesting and unpredictable, as well as playing super-catchy, pumped-up indie rock with addictively clever rhythms and subtle, smiling, muscular menace.
